Death Knight Soloing Ormorok the Tree-Shaper in Nexus HEROIC!

Tonight was possibly my biggest achievement in game, at least since the launch of Wrath of the Lich King anyway. Continuing my progress on soloing my way through as much of the game as possible I bring you... Ormorok the Tree-Shaper from Nexus HEROIC.
As per my normal rules, there were no buffs from Priests, Pally's, Druids or anyone apart from myself. I was on my own in Nexus with only myself and music to keep me company. However, this was the first time i've ever had to use consumables for a soloing attempt. After 5 or 6 1-10% wipes I decided I needed them. So in this video I was using the following
Flask of Stoneblood - Increases maximum health by 1,300
Food - Just a simple 60 Attack Power, 30 Stamina food I had handy.
This topped me up to 37,120 health and around 3.5k attack power. For this attempt I also had to use EVERY cooldown I had, everytime it was available to keep me alive. This included Jewelcrafting Trinket, Dreanei Racial heal and a Healing Potion.
Gear I used to solo is my full tanking set but in my solo tanking spec (62/4/5). This gives me over 35k unbuffed health now thanks to some new gemming and brand spanking new T8 Pants I picked up from VoA 10 man today!
Armory : http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Quel%27Thalas&n=Deathet
Tricks of the trade (or rather things I learnt from my tries that will help you if you want to try)
He does a Spell Reflect that is a buff on him for around 10 seconds. This will reflect back your Icy Touch/pestilence however it will not reflect Plague Strike as this is classed as a melee strike. So during spell reflect keep Plague Strike-Death Striking to keep up your healing.
Try to keep your ghoul sacrifice for the Enrage stage, he hits very hard here (obv) and you'll need everything you can here! Getting hit by the crystal spikes even once during the fight will probably completely ruin your attempt as you'll have to use a cooldown that you will need later on.
Pop Army of the Dead at around 15%, this takes the pressure off around half way through the enrage to give you a chance to heal / bandage so you can get stuck in again and kill him asap!
Hope you enjoyed the video and I hope to bring more Heroic Soloing to you in the future!

Nice work, I’ve not tried CoS yet, should do though, but I got addicted to the Heroic Soloing so not tried normals for a while. lol

I’ve got to admit, i thought just about everyone who play deathknights (other than myself of course) were unable to solo things as difficult as i have. I just recently put up a vid of my full Halls of Stone clear.(solo of course). Check out my youtube channel, Tehblood. I would love to discuss what rotations, glyphs and such that you use during you soloing. I’m currently attempting a CoS clear(regular), 2/4 down so far.
